Aug. 4--Workers plan to begin preparing Morgan County 55 for paving within the next two weeks, but a mile or two won't get a new surface until spring.
Instead of 13 miles, workers will pave about 11 miles initially, according to District 3 Commissioner Kevin Murphy.
The project will start at Eva, go to Interstate 65 and stop at McKendree United Methodist Church, Murphy said.
County Engineer Greg Bodley said the county's application for federal funding is still pending.
