Imagine you're a clueless 19-year-old who's made his 15-year-old girlfriend pregnant.
She doesn't want a baby, but doesn't want a legal abortion. She punches herself in the stomach, and when that doesn't work, she asks you to do the job.
You step on her abdomen, causing her to miscarry her twins.
You go to jail for life.
It happened, in June, in Texas.
The state couldn't prosecute the girl, because federal law still makes abortion legal. But her boyfriend could have received the death penalty.
