A HEAVILY pregnant woman who was due to be induced had the birth halted three times after a catalogue of failures at a flagship health service hospital.
Michelle Clarke, 24, was forced to wait five days before she could give birth because of a shortage of midwives and an overcrowded delivery suite.
Yesterday Mrs Clarke told how her ordeal at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital amounted to ' mental and physical torture' as the induction was continually started only to be halted.
She eventually gave birth to 8lb 6oz baby Brandon on July 13, five days after being admitted to the [pounds sterling]229million hospital in Norwich, which opened four ...
