When and how was the Woodland Trust founded?
Kenneth Watkins created the Woodland Trust in 1972 with the help of three friends. They had two simple aims in mind--to acquire and care for threatened woods for the public to enjoy and to plant trees. What began as a small group of friends working to save a single ancient wood became the UK's leading woodland conservation charity.
What does the Woodland Trust do?
