NEW YORK, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, Americans have won the Gold Medal in the Latin-American division of DanceSport at the Seventh World Games 2005, held in Oberhausen, Germany. Victory was especially sweet for Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova, both residents of New York, who took the Bronze medal four years ago in the same event when the World Games were held in Japan in 2001. The team has held the US Championship in DanceSport eight times, and on August 12, will defend their title for the ninth time in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the 2005 USA DanceSport National Championships.
