The Fine Arts Fund has awarded 27 small and mid-sized arts organizations unrestricted operating support in the first round of allocations through the 2005-2006 Grants Program. The total amount granted was $202,500.
The Fine Arts Fund Grants Program, established in 1978, has provided over $3 million to over 300 distinct arts organizations.
The total raised in this year's Fine Arts Fund -- $10,920,407 -- surpassed that of its closest rival, Charlotte, N.C., to become the top united arts fund in the U.S. for the second consecutive year.
