Your first prenatal visit to your health care professional's office to have your pregnancy evaluated is likely to be much longer than any of the other appointments. It should include a complete health history, a complete physical examination, including blood pressure, height and weight measurements and may include other tests. The first visit will probably be the only time (except perhaps during the last month of pregnancy) that your health care professional will do an internal pelvic exam. Your internal reproductive organs will be examined to check for changes in your cervix and the size of your uterus.
