* For most women, pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks or 280 days, beginning from the first day of your last menstrual period. Regular monthly visits to your health care professional are recommended until 28 weeks gestation, after which it is usually every two weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly until you deliver your baby.
