NEW YORK _ This is probably how it was with Mozart and all the other child prodigies. You could see it right away with Aaron Rowand, could see the greatness early.
"I fell off a swing and hit my head on a boulder once," he said fondly. "I fell backward and cracked my head on that.
"When I was 8 or 9, I ran into a (motor home) playing tag with a cousin and sliced my head open. That's how I got this scar."
He pushes some hair aside on the right side of his head and shows the pink badge of courage.
