Aug. 9--Competing against wines from all over the world, local wineries Butler and Oliver brought back a total of 27 medals from the Indy International Wine Competition, held last week at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Oliver Winery brought home the Indiana Governor's Cup as the most award-winning Indiana winery, with a total of 21 medals.
Sarah Villwock, promotions director for Oliver, said the winery earned the cup back in the early 1990s.
"It's on display in our tasting room," she said of this year's award.
Jim Butler of Butler Winery was also pleased with the six medals that his winery won. He said ...
