ROBIN COOK'S widow and children were joined by politicians from all parties for his funeral in Edinburgh today.
Mr Cook, who died of a heart attack on Saturday at the age of 59 while hill-walking with second wife Gaynor, 48, was honoured with all the solemnity of a state funeral.
Chancellor Gordon Brown led the orations for a congregation that included Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, former Labour leader Lord Kinnock and Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy as well as Mr Cook's first wife, Margaret. Tony Blair, who is on holiday, did not attend.
