No. 8 Ohio State
Conference: Big Ten.
Coach: Jim Tressel, 40-11 in four seasons, 175-68-2 overall in 19 seasons.
2004: 8-4, 4-4 in Big Ten.
Bowl: Defeated Oklahoma State, 33-7, in Alamo Bowl.
Why Ohio State is No. 8: With 18 starters returning, the Buckeyes have a talented, veteran team. The defense is dominating and if the offense displays the ability that sparked a season-ending five wins in six games, Ohio State will be in the national title chase.
