Surrounded by her office shipmates, Disbursing Clerk Chief Carolyn Mitchell, right, cuts the yellow ribbon to launch the Navy/Marine Cash Financial System aboard the San Diego-based amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA-1) March 8. Sailors and Marines aboard the "Eagle of the Sea" now can use these special electronic funds cards to purchase items from the various vending machines and the two ship's stores.
