THE ABI will meet protection brokers to discuss the disclosure of declined critical illness claims by life offices.
Disagreement between the Association of British Insurers and protection brokers emerged following the publication by Standard Life last week of its declined critical illness claims.
The disclosures, which showed 20 per cent of all Standard Life critical illness cover claims were declined, were welcomed by protection brokers who said it would lead to more informed decisions from clients and greater transparency.
