Although I am the manager in name, I have a supportive team working with me on this fund: Lucy Bernays is my assistant, and Richard Scott helps me with the selection of Asia-Pacific investment trusts. As well as my two lieutenants, there are other fund managers who work on this fund that are assigned to other products in the New Star range, so in total 7 people are involved in the running of this fund. All the fund managers do their own research; we do not have any bespoke analysts on this fund.
There is no way a fund manager can say that he is totally top-down or bottom-up and most blend both principles of management. This is especially so in the case of Pacific ...
