A grandmother snatched 44 votes from the chancellor in the general election, standing for the single issue of compensating workers' pensions.
Pat Sargent, a member of the Dexion pension scheme and the Pensions Action Group, made a stand against Gordon Brown in his constituency of Kirkcaldy and Cowenbeath in an attempt to shore up more money for members of collapsed pension schemes.
Following the election result, Sargent urged Brown to start living up to his promises of supporting people who have lost their lifetime savings.
