LAST week the treasure hunters in Los Banos were featured in a long story by AFP. Theres a memorial shrine here in honor of the fabled general, Tomoyuki Yamashita. In recent years treasure hunters had excavated a deep "trench" behind the shrine that moved the authorities to build a fence around it.
Impoverished hunters
In two previous articles, I dealt with the treasure hunters one of them is my friend at a national TV channel who were impoverished by various ventures in search of the treasure hoard.
