Aug. 17--CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte's photogenic mayor knows the drill: He checks the mirror in his office bathroom, retucks his dress shirt, and hides the spot of lunch on his tie. Then he finds the best window from which to catch his city's panoramic skyline, leans in and gives the camera some lovin'.
Lots of people want to take Pat McCrory's picture. A former Duke Energy Corp. executive, "Hizzoner," as the local paper chides him, has been Charlotte's mayor for a decade. And to his wife's frustration, he's seeking another term. "You want to run?" he jokes.
