Aug. 17--Alstom Power Heat Exchange of West Easton, plagued by floods, will sell a portion of its business to a Boston partnership.
Connell LP of Boston said it had signed an agreement to purchase Alstom's North American condenser business at 1550 Lehigh Drive. Bill Farris, a spokesman for Connell, said the company would acquire intellectual property, designs and hire the administration at the Alstom plant, which employs more than 200.
Connell had no plans of acquiring the West Easton factory or dealing with United Steelworkers of America employees who in March voted 64-7 to accept a three-year contract and end a 12-day strike, ...
