It's a sad time for the people of Ohio. In the first week of August, 21 young Marines, the majority from this state, died in Iraq while fighting America's war on terror. These young heroes were killed in separate incidents just days apart. The city of Brook Park, a Cleveland suburb, was hit especially hard by the loss. Many of the soldiers were from the Ohio-based 3rd Battalion, which has companies in Brook Park, Akron and Columbus, as well as New York and West Virginia. But 16 of those who died called cities all across Ohio home. To date, America has lost more than 1,800 people since the Iraq war began in March 2003.
