Northern Australia Program: people, culture, and nature.

ACF's Northern Australia Program (NAP) is making real progress in its goals to protect northern Australia's natural and cultural heritage values. Since joining ACF in January, the Northern Australia Program's newest staff member Justin McCaul has found that while the issues are complex, the work is challenging with considerable outcomes for Indigenous people across the north.

Our goals

Northern Australia is probably best known as a place that contains some of our most outstanding natural features, like Kakadu, Bungle Bungles, and Cape York wetlands. But it is also one of Australia's--indeed the world's--great cultural landscapes.
