Police chased a man suspected of robbing a bank Wednesday afternoon in downtown West Dundee and arrested him outside an Elgin apartment complex.
The robbery call from Fifth-Third Bank, 501 Main St., went out at 4:50 p.m., West Dundee Police Chief Edward Dennis said.
A police radio report described the suspect's car, a 1994 black Isuzu Rodeo, just as Carpentersville police Cmdr. Michael Kilbourne was in the area. And there was the car of the suspect.
Kilbourne gave chase, soon joined by police officers from Carpentersville, West Dundee, Elgin and the Kane County sheriff's office.
