Aug. 17--STARKVILLE -- A shopping center near the western edge of Mississippi State University is getting a face-lift.
La Galerie Shopping Center, located at the intersection of Russell and Gillespie streets, is being transformed into Cotton Crossing Shopping Center, adding a clock tower with chimes, two patio areas, improved parking area and better parking lot lighting.
Charlie Hamilton, owner of Texas-based CBS Real Estate, which bought the shopping center, said the changes will dramatically improve the area.
