A spa sign that shows the backside of a naked woman is causing a stir in Lysander.

A group of more than 50 women, organized by some members of the Community Wesleyan Church, believe the sign at Spa on the River, 2372 W. Genesee Road, is inappropriate and should be taken down.

Spa owner Judith A. Santimaw said she believes the sign is not offensive and will remain on her building unless her customers complain or somebody wants to pay her the $429.29 it cost to have the sign made about a year ago.
