SEE MORE TIGERS and crocs cruising the beach? Notice the plaid decorating the malls? The "preppy" look of polo-style and button-down shirts, khakis and Bermuda shorts, once a symbol of the '80s, is becoming popular among teens in Hampton Roads.
"It's a clean-cut look and gives you a better impression,'' says Bryce Rogers, 16, a rising junior at Indian River High School in Chesapeake. "A lot of my friends wear the look.''
