Aug. 20--Cute little Dora the Explorer is one scary competitor.
Nevertheless, Cartoon Network is about to go up against her, along with some of Dora's equally tough animated TV friends, in a bid to get more preschool-age viewers.
Starting Monday morning, Cartoon Network launches a new block of kiddie TV. It's a change for the Atlanta-based unit of Turner Broadcasting, which has never made much of a grab for the littlest viewers before.
