Hart's Manufacturing Co. of Collierville, Tenn., which had its plant in Corning, has announced it is liquidating its assets.

In June, Hart's Manufacturing shut down its Coming plant, leaving 171 people out of work, said its owner; Tommy Hart.

Hart said he has been talking with four different companies that are interested in buying the 165,000-SF plant that sits on 25 acres. Three of the four companies manufacture furniture, while one has a woodworking operation.

"I'm working as hard as I can to try and put those jobs over there," he said.
