The nine-week strike by beer truck drivers against Lohr Distributing Co. in St. Louis continues, and the public profile of the strike could heighten, as festival goers at the annual Strassenfest in downtown St. Louis will be asked to boycott Anheuser-Busch beers.
Strassenfest has been held in downtown St. Louis since 1972. Anheuser-Busch is slated to have a booth at the Strassenfest, but union organizers have indicated they plan to picket it.
Currently there are about 40 full- and part-time workers on the picket line.
The Lohr strike has not been big news in St. Louis, and news reports indicate that only about 40 bars in St. Louis are observing ...
