Aug. 22--Gov. Rick Perry on Monday appointed two San Antonio high-tech leaders to the Emerging Technology Fund's new 17-member advisory committee.
The local appointees are David Spencer, founder of OnBoard Software and founding board member of the San Antonio Technology Accelerator Initiative, a public and private venture to foster new technology, and Lynda De la Vina, dean of the University of Texas at San Antonio's College of Business and founder of Nightwave Records and Operational Technologies.
She also served as deputy assistant secretary for economic policy in the U.S. Treasury Department from 1998 to 2001.
