A WHISPER of excitement breezed gently down the aisle of flight SK2537 from Copenhagen to Dublin and found itself within earshot of David Jeffrey.
Sitting snugly between team attendants Gary Eccles and Andy Kerr on the return journey from Linfield's recent heroics in Sweden, Jeffrey bristled when he heard the topic of throwaway conversation just metres from his seat.
"What would we do if we reached the first round proper of the UEFA Cup?" asked someone.
"There's a chance we could draw a big European club," added another.
