If your car came with an in-vehicle navigation system, one of those computers that can tell you where you are and where you need to go, then there's a good chance that you use Navteq Corp.' s data.

According to Navteq, every automobile manufacturer that currently offers a navigation system in North America or Europe uses Navteq maps in one or more of its models.

Chicago-based Navteq heads a very short list of companies that provide the electronic map data required for two types of products that are seeing rapid growth: vehicle navigation systems and handheld portable navigation systems.
