ON THE NIGHT before presenting a seminar to The IIA's Toledo, Ohio, chapter, I watched a DVD recording of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra performing Beethoven's Sixth Symphony, conducted by Claudio Abbado. I watched the first movement several times and felt emotionally touched and inspired by the performance. On the plane to Toledo, I typed a draft of my thoughts and became so engrossed in the process that I didn't even hear my cell phone ringing next to me during a layover in Cincinnati. A young gentleman sitting near me got my attention and pointed out that I was receiving a call.
