Aug. 21--It's hoped that the official state designation and the signs it will bring will be the catalyst that will jump-start the Thousand Islands-Seaway Wine Trail.
Gov. George E. Pataki signed legislation designating the trail this month.
The designation of the wine trail will allow participants to utilize the grape cluster signage program used by established wine trails in other areas of the state. There are 12 designated trails.
The trail was originally planned to start in Adams Center to take advantage of the winery at Behling's Spookhill Farms. But it was discovered that Behling's is already a member of the ...
