YAKIMA, Wash. - Tim Turner and the Eugene Emeralds took another turn beating up on the team with the Northwest League's worst record.
Turner hit his second home run in as many games as the Ems crept back toward .500 by beating the Yakima Bears 2-1 on Saturday.
The Emeralds have won the first two games of a five-game series at Yakima but remain mired nine games back in the West Division with a 28-30 record. That would be good enough to lead the East Division, where Spokane leads with a 27-31 record.
