Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd once again is riding legislators for new patrol cars.
Todd on Monday asked members of the Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee to transfer more than $300,000 from a county reserve fund to his budget. He wants to buy 15 new patrol cars for his department.
"I went for a couple of years without cars because you guys said you have no money," Todd told committee members Monday. "But I can't go forever."
Committee members passed the resolution four voted yes, three voted no.
In order for Todd to get the cars, however, the full Legislature still must approve the purchase.
