Aug. 24--A park proposed for northwest Tallahassee has been categorized as a city park for people who live outside the city limits.
Its location - at the city limits, near the corner of Mission and Fred George roads -has made it a target of officials and city commissioners looking to sell the 80 acres or pass the park costs onto Leon County.
But the results of a recent population study tell a strikingly different story: The park would be predominantly used by city residents.
