Dow hiking silicone capacity in Germany
Dow Corning Corp. is increasing production capacity of certain liquid silicone rubbers by up to 50 percent at its plant in Wiesbaden, Germany, to meet fast-growing global demand.
"Unprecedented demand for silicone-based products, and for high-consistency rubber and liquid silicone rubber specifically, is being driven by major infrastructure development and product innovation in key industry sectors,'' said Terry Strange, Dow Corning global supply chain manager for engineered elastomers.
