Article: Vonage IPO Mooted.

The rumor mill is abuzz with reports and theories that voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) house Vonage is preparing for an IPO that could yield as much as $600 million - just the sort of thing to set tongues wagging in the middle of the long, hot summer. Then again, as some tales now have it, the IPO rumors could just be a feint to increase the perceived value of the company in preparation for some type of acquisition/merger deal.

The Vonage IPO reports appear to have originated in a story on Thedeal.com yesterday, followed by a story in the Wall Street Journal - which cited Thedeal.com as its source. Vonage so far has declined to comment on either story.
