THERE were smiles, cheers, hugs and screams of delight as pupils at Coventry schools ripped open their GCSE results today.
At Sidney Stringer Community Technology College in Hillfields, 16-year- old Sabrina Akhtar, burst into tears of joy when she opened her results.
She had achieved seven starred As and five As and plans to stay at Sidney Stringer to do A-levels before studying medicine at university.
