SAN ANTONIO -- SBC Communications Inc. (NYSE: SBC) today announced a new contract to provide fiber-optic services to Cedar Hill, Texas-based Westar Satellite Services.
Under the terms of the contract, SBC companies will provide Broadcast Video TV1 Service, which delivers high-speed fiber-optic connections designed for real-time delivery of broadcast-quality video. SBC companies will also provide Westar with SBC PremierSERV(SM) Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) through OPT-E-MAN(R) switched Ethernet connections.
