Affiliated Managers Group Inc. is politically wired.

The chief executive, Sean Healey, is married to Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey.

The chief financial officer is Darrell Crate, the 38-year-old state Republican chairman.

And among the former directors is one William F. Weld, former governor of Massachusetts and now a candidate for governor of New York.

This week came the news that Healey had given his wife access to a potential $13 million political war chest by cashing in millions more of his share options.
