As part of the new-student orientation, and to get students acquainted with the city they will live in for the next four years, Syracuse University bused about 1,800 freshmen to several places in downtown Syracuse Friday for "Exploring the Soul of Downtown Syracuse."
Students swarmed off the 35 buses, then experimented with science exhibits at the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology, watched the band Merit from a balcony in the gallery at The Redhouse and toured the Everson Museum of Art.
