CHICAGO _ I have been thinking what a better world this might be if the Cubs and the White Sox could be of some help to each other in times of need.
For example, the 2005 Cubs are stone-cold dead _ welcome to yet another episode of Six Feet Under.
If they win all 33 of their remaining games, they still would not have as many victories this season as the 1984 Cubs did. They would have to go 27-6 simply to win as many games as Dusty Baker's 2003 club did.
A fire sale already might have begun. Matt Lawton was traded to the New York Yankees on Saturday. It stands to reason that more Cubs could part company with Tribune ...
