On July 20, retail giant Wal-Mart t opened a prototype supercenter in the Dallas suburb of McKinney, Texas, that relies heavily on sustainable design and green technology.
The store--and a nearly identical big box in Aurora, Colo., set to open later this year--are part of a three-year experiment that will determine the future of sustainable and green design for the world's largest retailer.
