Aug. 30--Preston Warren loves his new SUV. The Panama City resident traded in his small car for a new, red Ford Excursion about five months ago because it drove so well, it's convenient -- and he just liked it.
But like most people, Warren is concerned about the price of gas he's pumping into his new vehicle and is worried about the possibility of a shortage after Hurricane Katrina struck Louisiana on Monday morning.
At about noon Monday, Warren dished out $88.65 to fill his SUV at the Beeline station on the corner of 23rd Street and Jenks Avenue, where the price for unleaded gas was $2.55 a gallon.
