Among bereaved subjects, complicated grief treatment appears to have a higher response rate and faster response time than interpersonal psychotherapy, reported Katherine Shear, M.D., and her associates at the University of Pittsburgh.
In a prospective, controlled trial, the modified intention-to-treat sample of 83 women and 12 men was randomized to either interpersonal psychotherapy (n = 46) or complicated grief treatment (n = 49).
