MIAMI - Except to change planes, I hadn't been in the Miami area in years. My fondest memory was of an exceptionally tasty Cuban sandwich I'd wolfed down from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Little Havana.
But golf's my thing these days, and I was psyched to play new designer golf courses by Hills, Ross, Devlin, Von Hagge, Norman and other top architects.
So golf clubs, new micro-fiber shorts, bathing suit and my classy Costa del Mar sunglasses packed, I flew south.
