A good place to start this review would seem to be with a definition of the 'virtual organization', but as Warner and Witzel point out such clarity is impossible; such organizations are after all by their very nature 'formless and fluid' (p. 3). Indeed, Handy (1997: 379) points out that the word organization should be seen more as 'a verb these days than a noun, a means of organizing instead of a thing or a body'. Bocij et al.
