A battle over patients has spilled into court in California as a not-for-profit hospital accuses its rival of stealing its managed-care patients, admitting patients who did not require admission and submitting "inflated and bogus bills'' that the suing hospital, as a preferred network provider, must pay, according to a lawsuit filed last week.
