Perhaps you have noticed recently as you have browsed in your upscale neighborhood bookstore the appearance of a new genre--the socially acceptable collection of erotica. Major publishers seem to have thrown themselves wholeheartedly into affirmative action for pornography. Tastefully produced and bound in matte covers with soft-focus photographs in muted colors, these works present sexually explicit stories for feminist women, profeminist men, African-Americans, gays and lesbians, bisexuals and even married people.
